More transparency and control for church activities – both of Germany's largest denominations – Catholics and Protestants – share the same goal in converting their accountancy from simple- to double-entry accounting methods. However, their focus is not simply on changing the accounting style. They often have one key question in mind: Can the software fulfill the specialized needs of the church? Does it reflect specific church-related concerns, such as donations, collections, and committed assets? And does it also offer ways for volunteer user groups to work efficiently with such features?
We addressed these challenges intensively in our new church accountancy solution. The result: Our integrated standard double-entry software allows organizational units – regional churches, dioceses, archdioceses – to standardize processes within church administration, providing a uniform database for comparable processes, ensuring costs are transparent, and providing information on the asset and earnings situation. These features help us live up to our commitment: We want to support and serve as a partner to church bodies in their work to create more economical, more sustainable, and more transparent modern financial management. With our many years of experience, and a healthy dose of expertise and skill, we have everything we need to do just that.
