Zurich, 21 August 2018

On 21 August in Switzerland, VINCI Energies concluded the acquisition of the operations of Ruf Informatik AG, a specialist in IT solutions dedicated to serving communities and the public sector.

VINCI Energies, a subsidiary of the VINCI group that specialises in energy and information and communication technologies (ICT) has just acquired the company Ruf Informatik AG. A subsidiary of the Ruf Group, it is a leader in the information technologies sector in Switzerland. The company, headquartered in Schlieren, in 2017, generated turnover of 19 million Swiss francs (roughly 17 million euros) and has 80 employees.

With a presence in German-speaking Switzerland and in French-speaking Switzerland, via its subsidiary W&W Informatik, Ruf Informatik AG offers software solutions that are tailored to the public sector (municipalities, social, religious and educational institutions). Its offering also extends to the trade and distribution sector and is supplemented by a professional cloud service which guarantees its clients solutions suited to their needs.

Thanks to this acquisition in Switzerland, VINCI Energies is strengthening and expanding the presence of its brand, Axians, dedicated to information and communication technologies. Bernard Latour, managing director of VINCI Energies Europe, stated: “We are delighted with the integration of Ruf Informatik, which will allow VINCI Energies to develop and consolidate its presence on the Swiss market in the field of information and communication technologies. Its activities constitute a direct application of the know-how of our brand, Axians, in Switzerland. We now have a new Organisation which strengthens our strategy for developing IT infrastructures and solutions so that we can continue to assist our clients with their digital transformation.”
