BEE SMART for sustainability and environmental protection

More than 75 percent of all agricultural and crop plants in Europe depend on pollination by bees. They ensure the diversity of our flora and fauna and thus a large part of our food. Many types of fruit and vegetables, nuts or oils would not exist without them. Reason enough to create the necessary conditions for these industrious insects and to do everything possible to prevent their extinction.

For the Axians Group in Germany, social responsibility and, in this context, the issues of sustainability and environmental protection are particularly important and have long been an integral part of its corporate strategy. This is why Axians also works with the digital initiative Hektar Nektar and supports their activities against the declining bee population. The mission: 10 percent more bees by 2028 in Germany and Austria.

Axians supports three hobby beekeepers with equipment for hectares of nectar and thus enables new bee colonies from regional breeding. The first result of this commitment is particularly sweet: regional honey from Germany and Austria, in ecological packaging with a low CO2 footprint. BEE SMART – we are part of it!
